Intimate strangers defies the current trend of contactless paying, selfservice checkouts at the supermarkets, the popularity of ChatGPT, everyday human interactions are steadily being reduced and or replaced by robots, AI.
To counter this trend, Erin goes in search of the comfort of strangers, through a series of letters with penpals from Leeuwarden. These intimate exchanges will be translated in a series of paper pop-up works, taking on a paper world.
